October 2025 Vietnam Medical Mission

Medical Outreach of America is extremely pleased to offer the opportunity to return to Vietnam in early fall 2025. Building on our previous missions over the last five years, we will collaborate with our partners in Vietnam to deliver medical services to individuals suffering from permanent disabilities, UXO-related injuries, and the effects of Agent Orange exposure in the central region near Hue and Da Nang. Our mission will begin in Da Nang, where we will work alongside student partners from the Medical Technology and Pharmacy University. For two days, we will provide free clinics at the university hospital in Da Nang, treating victims of Agent Orange exposure and children with disabilities through our local NGO partners, DAVA and Children of Vietnam. Following our work in Da Nang, we will travel south to Hoi An, where we will enjoy a free day before conducting two days of clinics in the Quang Nam region, approximately a 30-minute drive from Hoi An. Here, we will continue collaborating with our student partners from Da Nang and the medical staff at the clinic. We are especially excited to work with a new partner there and serve a population impacted by dioxin exposure and years of chronic poverty. The next day, departing from Da Nang, we will take the new train service to Hue, traveling along the scenic coastline of central Vietnam in vintage railcars. This three-hour journey will be a highlight of our travels, featuring refreshments and entertainment as we pass through breathtaking mountainous terrain and remote shorelines connecting these two beautiful cities. Once in Hue, we will again partner with the Medical University of Hue for student and translator support, along with our local NGO partner, HUEFO. Over the course of two days, we will hold clinics at Phong Dien Hospital, located outside Hue City. Our experience there last year was incredible, and we look forward to returning once again.   |
