Laurie graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1977 with a BSN. She completed her Masters in Nursing from Emory in 1979 as a Critical Care Specialist. In 1985, she earned her MSN as a Nurse Practitioner from Georgia State University and worked in Family Practice from 1985 to 1991. She also practiced emergency medicine from 1991 to 1993 and has worked in orthopedics at Georgia Bone and Joint Surgeons from 1993 to the present.
She has donated her time to our local homeless shelter for years and is an active member and elder in her church. Laurie’s experience and knowledge as well as her genuine care for others makes her a valuable asset to MOA.
